Yes. If you downgrade from a paid plan, all your pet data remains safe and accessible. You can still view every pet profile, browse their complete photo timeline, and access all health records. The only limitation is that you can only actively manage (add new entries to) the number of pets allowed in your new plan tier. For example, downgrading from Owner to Free means you can actively manage one pet while viewing all others in read-only mode. No data is ever deleted during a downgrade — your pet's complete life story is preserved regardless of your subscription status.

Petfolio uses bank-level AES-256 encryption for all data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Pet profiles, health records, and photos are stored on Supabase's SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure with automatic backups and redundancy across multiple availability zones. We never sell or share your pet's data with third parties. Paid plan users can export their complete data at any time in standard formats. All authentication uses secure token-based sessions, and sensitive health records are encrypted independently from general profile data for an additional layer of protection.
