Viewing the Timeline

The Timeline gives you a complete chronological view of your pet's journey, combining milestones, weight records, and vet visits into one easy-to-browse page.

Accessing the Timeline

To view your pet's timeline:

Go to your pet's profile
Click Timeline in the navigation bar
Browse events from newest to oldest

What's Included

The Timeline combines multiple types of events:

Event Type	What It Shows
Milestones	Special moments you've recorded
Weight Records	Weigh-ins from the Health page
Vet Visits	Completed appointments

Each event shows its date, time, and any notes or descriptions.

Filtering Events

Focus on specific event types using the filter tabs:

All - Shows everything
Milestones - Only milestone events
Weight - Only weigh-in records
Vet Visits - Only completed appointments

The count next to each filter shows how many events exist for that type.

Navigating by Date

Jump to specific time periods using the navigation:

On Desktop

A sidebar on the left shows years and months. Click any month to jump directly to events from that period.

On Mobile

Tap the calendar button (bottom right) to open a date picker. Select a month to jump to that section.

Timeline Stats

At the top, you'll see a summary showing:

Your pet's photo
How long you've been tracking (e.g., "2 years, 3 months of memories")
Event counts by type

This gives you a quick snapshot of your pet's recorded history.

Event Cards

Each event appears as a card showing:

Icon - Color-coded by event type
Title - What happened
Time - When it occurred
Description - Additional details (if any)
Type badge - The category of event

Events are grouped by date, with a sticky date header as you scroll.

Adding New Events

The Timeline displays existing data. To add new events:

To Add	Go To
Milestones	Pet profile > Milestones section
Weight records	Health page > Weight Tracker
Vet visits	Health page > Vet Appointments

New events appear automatically on the Timeline after you add them.

Timeline vs. Individual Trackers

Both views show similar data, but serve different purposes:

Feature	Best For
Timeline	Chronological browsing, seeing the full picture
Health page trackers	Managing and adding new records
Profile milestones	Quick milestone management

Use the Timeline when you want to reminisce or share your pet's story. Use individual trackers when you need to add or manage specific data.

Tips

Scroll back in time - The Timeline starts with recent events but you can scroll to see your pet's entire history
Use filters - If looking for something specific, filter to narrow down the events
Quick jumps - Use year/month navigation to jump to a specific time period without endless scrolling
